We are currently looking for a Chef de Partie to work with our team here at Chichester College, West Sussex, PO19 1SB Perks of the job Annual salary of between £24,000 - £25,500 doe Full time – 35 hours per week, 5 days over 7 Shift times ranging between 7am – 7pm Discounted meals on shift Free parking Free uniform and safety shoes provided NEST pension contribution and Life assurance Generous holiday allowance which increases after 3 full years of service Cycle to work / Refer a friend scheme Apprenticeship schemes available to help with career progression A wide range of perks including MyStaffShop discounts (save money on your weekly supermarket shop), Nest pension, Life assurance, online e-learning and much more What you'll be doing Preparing and cooking meals Supporting with food orders Check all food is compliant with allergens Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence Assisting with deliveries and stock checks / placing orders Placing food orders and maintaining kitchen records To share responsibility with the Chef manager/Catering manager for the checking, probing and signing of all food deliveries To monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries. Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans Full knowledge of all menu items served Be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Maintain the highest standards in food hygiene, service & presentation (HACCP & Health & Safety Legislation) To ensure that any Food Safety/Quality records assigned to you are being carried out daily within the kitchen and related areas, without exception. To maintain good communications and working relationships with your client, customers, and all staff. Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to company regulations at all times. To present an image at all times conducive to good customer relations. Experience Relevant culinary qualification is desirable Previous experience in a similar role Health and safety level 2 Allergen awareness Excellent team player and communicator A confident chef
