Shireland Biomedical UTC POST: Assistant Principal Required for September 2025 SALARY: Leadership scale L12-L16 We are excited and proud to be the first UTC in the UK to specialise in health care and health science. Based in central West Bromwich we aim to provide an outstanding provision for the children we serve. We opened our doors to the first ever year 7 cohort in September 2022 and will continue to do so until we are full. From September 2025 we will have years 7,8, 9, 10,12 and 13. We are looking for a detail orientated, passionate and effective Assistant Principal to lead Teaching and Learning across the academy. As Health and Social care is an integral part of the Academy, you will oversee and deliver this subject area whilst working with our external partners to provide an exceptional educational provision for our pupils and families. Applicants should: Have middle or senior leadership experience with demonstrable impact. Have experience of teaching across the key stages, especially at KS4 and KS5. Have experience of delivering, or able to deliver Health and Social Care. Be a consistently good/outstanding teacher. Be an exceptional classroom practitioner with high expectations of both learning and behaviour. Demonstrate an ability to inspire, motivate and enthuse pupils. Be committed to raising standards for all and share the same drive to constantly learn and improve. Show willingness to lead initiatives and show evidence of impact. Be able to demonstrate a passion to make a difference to others. Be proficient with the use of technology for learning and have a willingness to innovate.
