This position requires a chef who can create balanced, flavorful meals that cater to specific dietary requirements, including a reduced-salt diet, and who is attentive to the nutritional needs of the principal. Key Responsibilities: – Prepare and cook meals primarily for the principal and his partner, with occasional meal preparation for a small team of household staff. – Create menus that focus on Mediterranean and Italian cuisine, with an emphasis on health-conscious and nutritionally balanced dishes. – Accommodate dietary restrictions, particularly related to salt and other health-related preferences. – Maintain flexibility in scheduling during the principal’s visits to London (up to 90 days per year). – When the principal is in residence, the chef may be required to work six or seven days a week, with the flexibility to adjust working hours based on the principal's schedule. – Any additional hours worked while the principal is in London will be compensated with time off when the principal is away. – When the principal is not in London, work a regular Monday to Friday schedule with standard hours. – Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following health and safety standards. Additional Information: – This role is based in London (St Johns Wood), no travel is required. – Accommodation is available in an annex property for late working days when the principal is in residence, providing a room and private bathroom for the chef. – A strong commitment to flexibility, organization, and the ability to work independently is essential.
