Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant

Salary: £80 - £100 per day
Location: ‘Outstanding’ secondary school, Ward of Yardley
Role: KS3 & KS4 maths support across the national curriculum
This is an excellent opportunity for a maths graduate to gain hands-on experience in a high-achieving secondary school. As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students and teachers to support learning and improve attainment in maths.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting students across KS3 and KS4 with their understanding of key mathematical concepts
2. Delivering small-group and one-to-one interventions to boost confidence and progress
3. Assisting teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
4. Helping students prepare for assessments and GCSE maths exams
5. Encouraging problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning
This role is ideal for graduates considering a future in teaching, providing valuable classroom experience and insight into education.
Requirements:
1. A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
2. A passion for education and supporting students’ academic success
3. Strong numeracy, communication, and interpersonal skills
4. A proactive and adaptable approach to working in a school setting
5. Previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, or working with young people (desirable but not essential)
