Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, professional, and experienced Diabetic Practice Nurse to join our excellent Nursing Team at Brockworth Surgery. The ideal candidate will be experienced in diabetic management, willing to learn, able to take on responsibilities and have a good team spirit. We are looking for the candidate to work around up to 20 hours per week. Main duties of the job The candidate will need experience working with diabetic patients whether that it is a hospital/community setting or working within general practice and caring for patients with diabetes. Experience in chronic disease management and Asthma/COPD is desirable along with knowledge in other areas such as CHD, health promotion and routine health screening such as smears, contraception, sexual health, and childhood immunisations. About us Brockworth Surgery is a practice based in Gloucestershire caring for over 10,000 patients. We are a teaching practice and our team consists of 4 GP Partners, 6 salaried GPs, 1 Lead Practice Nurse, 2 part-time Practice Nurses, 1 Nurse Associate, 3 Healthcare Assistants and a Phlebotomist. We also work within a multidisciplinary team of Mental health practitioners, Pharmacists, Care Co-ordinators and Social Prescribers.
