Role: Sales/ Account Manager
Location: Sittingbourne - must be a driver or very local due to location
Working Arrangement: 5 days a week in the office

I am working for a well-established but niche distributor who supplies products directly into Tier 1-3 contractors across the UK. They are well known for their expertise, excellent customer service, and on-site optimisation facilities to tailor products to each project.
Due to expansion, they are now looking for a Sales/Account Manager to join the team of 4 in Sittingbourne. The role will be a mixture of account management of key clients as well as proactive sales to secure new business, although most of the customers are already known to the organisation. Duties will include:
1. Building bespoke quotations/estimations at client request for both straightforward sales transactions and large tender projects
2. Updating CRM system with key dates and information
3. Following up quotations to secure sales/orders
4. Making proactive calls to key clients to discuss potential tenders and build a pipeline of potential business
5. Building relationships with new clients
6. Working towards a revenue and margin target
7. My client predicts circa £480k revenue will be generated by an existing portfolio in this role and circa £120k will be won through proactive sales
The perfect candidate for the role:
1. Memorable with a consultative focus and not too salesy
2. Ideally from a construction supply background - trade counter, B2B supply businesses, etc.
3. Self-motivated
