Our client, a leading energy company, is seeking a Site Manager to join their team in Portsmouth. As a Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and developing multiple projects within their portfolio.

Are you an accomplished Site Manager with a proven track record of leading projects through the entire lifecycle? An exciting opportunity awaits you to join our dynamic team and take on a pivotal role in managing and monitoring programmed works. Reporting to the Contracts or Project Manager, this is a great opportunity for an experienced manager who excels at leading their teams to deliver client requirements, achieve contractual objectives, and optimize costs.
Here are some of the activities that you will get involved in:
* Ensure compliance with DSR, Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental procedures and practices.
* Develop good working relationships and maintain close liaison with clients, project team members, and stakeholders.
* Carry out relevant testing procedures, document results, and provide accurate asset records.
* Ensure your teams are adequately trained and equipped so that sites are left compliant for other trades and the public.
* Leverage NEC 3 contract experience for effective negotiation and agreement.
We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate the following…
* Extensive experience in a similar role within utility, construction, service, or infrastructure environments, with significant involvement in managing people and commercial awareness. Hold an IOSH qualification and a recognized qualification such as HNC.
* Experience working with or for DNOs is pivotal. Preference for candidates with a background working with SSE, demonstrating understanding of industry nuances and dedication to excellence. Familiarity with their processes and requirements, along with previous construction and engineering experience within utilities, especially in substation projects, is advantageous.
* Expertise in NEC 3 contracts to ensure efficient contract administration and adherence to timelines. Certification such as Streetworks (NRSWA) Supervisor accreditation, SSSTS/SMSTS, civil engineering qualifications, and first aid qualifications are highly desirable. A full and valid driver’s license is essential.
