JOB TITLE: Senior Geotechnical Engineer
LOCATION: Hybrid (Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Oxford, Brighton)

ROLE PURPOSE:
To contribute to the successful delivery of geotechnical projects and support the wider geotechnical business objectives through technical expertise, project management, and client engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct foundation design and installation analyses.
2. Provide technical leadership and support on geotechnical and foundation design.
3. Oversee projects as a Project Manager, ensuring quality assurance, strong client relationships, and successful project execution within the agreed scope, budget, and schedule.
4. Support marketing and business development efforts through collaboration with the Sales & Marketing team.
5. Contribute to the technical development of geotechnical engineering within the company.
6. Assist the Geotechnical Manager in resource planning, workload management, and project allocation to ensure timely and on-budget delivery.
7. Maintain professional integrity, lead by example, and act as an ambassador for the company.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT & KNOWLEDGE SHARING:
1. Stay updated on industry advancements, lessons learned, and best practices through research and professional development.
2. Author technical papers and contribute to thought leadership in geotechnical engineering.
3. Maintain oversight of technical competencies across the team to optimize project allocation.
4. Provide mentorship and coaching to junior staff members.
CLIENT FOCUS:
1. Engage with clients to understand their needs and develop innovative solutions.
2. Expand and maintain a professional network within the geotechnical industry.
3. Deliver presentations and workshops to internal and external audiences.
