Surveyor to Associate (Infrastructure)
Exciting Opportunity in a Growing Infrastructure Services Team
Are you a surveyor with experience in infrastructure or rural projects looking for a new challenge? We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join a dynamic team within the infrastructure services sector. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects designed to improve and sustain the UK’s infrastructure, spanning sectors such as electricity, gas, water, fibre optics, oil, and renewables.
The team is committed to delivering high-quality service to clients, and they pride themselves on developing their professionals and continuously improving their internal systems. As an Infrastructure Surveyor, you’ll be involved in managing site surveys, securing land access rights, overseeing compensation claims, and providing consultancy services in areas like benchmarking, procedures, and management systems.
Location & Flexibility
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Exeter, with a 37.5-hour workweek (Monday to Friday). There is also flexibility to discuss part-time or hybrid working arrangements (minimum 30 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities
As an Infrastructure Surveyor, you will:
* Manage infrastructure projects, ranging from local to national scale
* Provide land consultancy advice, covering everything from the maintenance of existing apparatus to the installation of new infrastructure
* Support clients with all aspects of their interactions with landowners and offer professional guidance
* Oversee land referencing, statutory notices, compensation negotiations, and the acquisition of rights to facilitate project delivery
* Handle communications with landowners and manage public inquiries
* Report regularly on project progress to clients
* Mentor and train junior team members, helping them develop their skills and achieve their career goals
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess:
* MRICS or AssocRICS qualifications (preferred)
* Strong project management skills
* High-level IT proficiency
* Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with confidence in engaging at all levels
* The ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
* Experience in developing and maintaining strong, lasting client relationships
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
* Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills
