The successful candidate will have some experience working in general medicine. This is a part-time (5 hours/week), post fixed term for 2 years. Main duties of the job Duties of the post This post is for a speciality doctor in Allergy based at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. They will work with the existing clinical teams to provide a clinical service for the management of patients with allergic diseases. The service will be conducted by regular outpatient clinics, day case attendance, and telephone and face to face consultations. No previous experience in clinical immunology or allergy is required, the team will provide training and support and opportunities for external CPD will be provided. The appointee will be expected to participate in clinical governance, audit, annual appraisal and continuing medical education (CPD) complying with the CPD specifications of the Royal College of Physicians scheme (or equivalent). The appointee will be expected to maintain GMC registration and participate in the GMC revalidation scheme. Proposed Job Plan The details of the job plan will be agreed with the Service Line Clinical Director subsequently at annual job planning meetings. This post is for 1.25PAs (5 hours/week). This will comprise of 1 clinic/week (4 hours) with 1 hour/week for clinic admin/MDT.
