Whats the Role:Team Leader (9 month maternity cover) What It Takes: An important part of the staff role is to support the needs of individuals through the ethos and values of Praxis Care. So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential. Our dedicated staff team support our individuals to learn and develop their skills to aid in their independence. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our individuals with day to day life. Where You Would Work: Ards Community Supported Living Ards Community Supported Living Services is based throughout the Newtownards Area. The service supports adults to live as independently as possible and to get the best out of their day to day life. We support adults with a primary diagnosis of Learning Disability. However, they may have other conditions such as mental health issues (low mood, depression, schizophrenia) or Acquired Brain Injuries. The adults within this service require support to maintain their homes, support with appointments, medications, finances and also to attend appointments. The service currently supports 8 individuals. This is in their own homes that they rent either through private landlords or housing association. We are a highly motivated team who work tirelessly to promote the independence of the individuals we are working with. We support people to develop their daily living skills and to access the community and social activities with a holistic approach.
