Our Ipswich Service Centre is a vital hub for mechanical and electrical services in the region. Renowned for its technical expertise and exceptional customer service, the facility specializes in repairing and maintaining a diverse range of equipment, including electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and generators. We cater to industries such as manufacturing, utilities, and renewables, providing bespoke solutions to ensure reliability and efficiency for our customers.
As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll play a key role in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of critical equipment, ensuring we continue to deliver the high standards of service our clients rely on. By joining our Ipswich team, you’ll become part of a close-knit group of professionals who are passionate about excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
* Perform repairs on AC & DC motors with precision and expertise.
* Conduct meticulous repairs on pumps and gearboxes, ensuring optimal functionality.
* Undertake generator repairs and overhauls to meet the highest industry standards.
* Demonstrate problem-solving skills to address client issues effectively.
* Execute duties with meticulous attention to detail.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Possess a solid technical background in electro/mechanical engineering.
* Strong knowledge of condition monitoring is advantageous.
* Completion of overhead crane operating training.
* Possession of a forklift truck license would be beneficial.
