PMLD Teacher Required – Skelmersdale
Are you an experienced SEN teacher looking for a rewarding role supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)?
A specialist school in Skelmersdale is seeking a PMLD Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. The role is available with a flexible start date and will continue until at least the end of the academic year, with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities:
* Teaching students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
* Delivering a highly personalised curriculum, incorporating sensory and communication-based learning
* Working closely with support staff, therapists, and families to ensure the best outcomes for students
* Creating an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience working with SEN students, particularly those with PMLD
* Strong understanding of differentiation, communication strategies (e.g., Makaton, PECS), and sensory learning
* Ability to work collaboratively with support staff and external professionals
* ECTs are welcome to apply, provided they have relevant SEN experience
