Job summary We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Acute Physio Team. The post holder will work as part of a rotation across varied inpatient settings including areas such as ED, acute wards and critical care. As part of a team of Physiotherapists, assistant staff and the wider MDT, you will be responsible for providing immediate and targeted physiotherapy to our patients as they move through the hospital.You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards "great people, great place".This role requires flexibility and dynamism, and offers excellent learning and development opportunities for the right candidate. Main duties of the job To act as a resource and support to a wide range of other disciplines, agencies and carers by developing specialist knowledge and skills, including contribution to education and research programmes as required.To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.To hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision. Supervision taking the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, case conferences. Access to advice and support from a senior physiotherapist will be available if required, clinical work is not routinely evaluatedTo participate in On Call and weekend working and support staff in becoming on call competent and acting as mentor/buddy for new staff to on callTo deputise for the Physiotherapy Team Leader in operational management.
