Up to £60,000 Salary
As Commercial Manager your duties will include overseeing project financial performance, negotiating and overseeing contracts and senior stakeholder management. You will also be responsible for ensuring that projects have in place an effective risk management process and that business risk is regularly reviewed.
Key responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following tasks:
* Ensure all work undertaken has effective financial controls in place
* Provides Flash P&L and Order Status reports and other ad hoc analysis
* Analyse profitability other financial targets.
* Undertake risk review and mitigation plans.
* Ensures all customer billing is done in a timely manner.
* Assists in financial negotiations with customers and suppliers including Bid Management and face-to-face meetings.
* Ensures the financial and commercial elements of contracts with customers and suppliers are effectively managed
* Approves and validates supplier invoices and DL timesheets in line with the company DOA.
* Ensures financial and commercial performance is regularly reviewed by Project Managers and the Senior Team.
To be effective in this role the Commercial Manager will need to:
* Maintain and build up a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams.
* Be able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
* Communicate effectively with all other departments.
Person Specification:
To be successful in this role, the commercial manager will have:
* Experience working within a Financial or Commercial team.
* Have strong planning, organisation, and monitoring abilities.
* Enjoy a challenge, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
* Experience working with and analysing large data sets.
* Knowledge of Power BI would be an advantage but not essential.
* Have strong written and verbal communications skills.
* Have a strong orientation towards quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
* Can prioritise work, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage business expectations.
* Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
* Have a high standard of numeracy.
* Intermediate level of Excel such as Pivot tables and LOOKUPs.
* A legal right to work in the UK.
