Billing & Revenue Co-ordinator
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours, working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am-5.00pm
Salary: Depending upon experience
Are you a highly organised administrator and have experience in an administration role?
We have a rare opportunity at KIMS Hospital to join our Finance Team as a Billing & Revenue Co-ordinator.
As a Billing & revenue Co-ordinator you will collate billing information and generate accurate outpatient and inpatient invoices in line within predefined Hospital tariffs. You will work closely with other members of the finance team, patient admissions and other stakeholders
Role Responsibilities include:
- Ensure all patient details and billing information is correct, using the Hospital computer system.
- Produce invoices and collect payment from patients on day of attendance if required.
- Ensure all charges have been correctly allocated to the patient's account prior to printing invoices.
- Liaise with Theatres/ Patient Admissions/ Finance for any information regarding a procedure.
- To liaise with insurers/third parties regarding debts to ensure prompt payment
- Answer queries that are sent from Medical Secretaries, Insurance companies, individual patients and from the Patient Admissions team
- Assist patients with account queries both face to face and on the telephone.
Person Specification:
Essential
- 2 + years of experience within an accounting role
- Be educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
- An impeccable telephone manner
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office packages
Desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience within a healthcare environment
- NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service & Administration or equivalent knowledge base
