About you:
You will have an inquisitive nature and ability to manipulate data, scrutinize, extract insights, and present back to key stakeholders within the business.
What you will be doing:
Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Finance and Insight, you will manage all non-financial reporting and data analytics at Brain in Hand and lead in delivering key insights and analytics to inform business decisions.
Your responsibilities:
* Conduct complex data analysis and provide insights to support business decision-making.
* Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve business problems.
* Lead projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
* Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
* Ensure data accuracy and integrity, and maintain data security and privacy.
* Support, manage, and develop the Data Analyst's technical and soft skills.
* Implement tools and standardise processes to improve efficiency in the team.
* Lead advanced user lifecycle analyses to optimize product usage and subscription renewals.
* Build predictive models or trend analyses to inform strategic decisions about service delivery.
* Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and reporting.
What you will bring to Brain in Hand:
* You are naturally curious and have proven hands-on working experience in data analytics, working with imperfect data.
* Ability to identify, design, and measure the impact of key business interventions using data.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - data accuracy.
* Strong experience in Excel and reporting packages (PowerBI, Looker Studio, Tableau etc.).
* Strong experience with relational databases and programming (SQL, Python etc.).
* Good knowledge of statistics (SAS, R would be a bonus).
* Ability to pay close attention to minor details that could impact results.
* Ability to ‘sense check’ data and conclusions is essential.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Team working skills and able to build relationships with internal stakeholders.
* Proven ability to independently manage deadlines and deliver to schedule.
* Proven ability to coach and manage an analyst.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
What success looks like in this role:
* You will become the go-to person for data insights from any data sources and analytics that you generate about Brain in Hand’s users and functions.
* You can deliver business priorities according to business needs and avoid delivering just raw data.
Where you will work:
We trust our teams to work remotely, from anywhere in the UK. There might be times when you must travel to the Exeter office or other UK locations for meetings or events, but these will be planned and agreed on in advance.
Hours of work:
This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Contract:
12-month fixed term.
Salary:
Circa £55,000 per annum D.O.E.
