Job summary We have an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive SWB Library and Knowledge Service team. The service supports the information needs of the Trust's staff and students, by facilitating access to books, e-resources, training, current awareness and more. The role is varied; no two days are the same. We offer the flexibility to manage your own workload, unsupervised on occasion. You will also have the opportunity to use your initiative and creativity to contribute to service development. Experience within a library environment or an information service is essential. Opportunities for continuing professional development are encouraged. The expectation is that the post holder will work towards a CILIP ACLIP Library qualification and support will be provided. The post holder will also have the opportunity to work on our brand new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) Library site. In this role you will: provide an efficient enquiry service to our staff/students who are based both in acute and community sites promote member registrations, increase sign ups to evidence alerts and provide inductions to all staff and students provide articles, help users how to search the library catalogue, promote the library services both onsite and social media create attractive displays every month on different health topics and align library promotion of health campaigns with the Trust priorities maintain physical library spaces and stock.
