Senior Finance Business Partner Purpose of the role; As a key member of the Finance Team, responsible for weekly financial information, regular P&L forecasting, business partnering the Operations function and support to the Head of Finance across the Erith site activities. Provide key financial information for internal and external communication as required. Key Responsibilities; Performance Reporting - To ensure that there is clear and accurate financial performance reporting in place each week, with supporting sales and operational information.Provide summaries of week, period to date and period end estimated performance.Ensure that key business issues are flagged and that there are corrective action plans in place to drive and deliver the business performance required. Provide inputs to monthly financial pack including sales and operational analysis. Ensure company stocks are correctly valued and accounted for. Forecasting Support the Head of Finance in driving and consolidating the Budget and Financial forecasting process.Ensure a realistic forecast of year to go business performance is in place at all times, based on clear and aligned assumptions along with an assessment of the business risks and opportunities.Take specific responsibility for material usage & wastage, standard costing and direct labour analysis. Costing Ensure the finance team delivers robust and accurate costings for all business activities including NPD, EPD and new customer initiatives.Represent finance in key commercial projects and initiatives.Superuser on Recipe Professor. Commercial Proposals - Ensure that commercial proposals, including NPD, EPD and promotional activities, are robustly appraised using sound assumptions and reflect the likely / range of possible outcomes Investments Ensure that capital and non-capital investments are robustly appraised and are consistent with the business objectives. Ensure that the CAPEX procedure and process is robust, understood and adhered to Business Partnering Operations Support the Operations function in ensuring that project initiatives are clearly planned into the financial forecast and that delivery is monitored with progress clearly communicated (eg waste & labour initiatives). Head of Finance Support As a key member of the finance team, ensure that the Head of Finance has your full support in ensuring key outputs are delivered and other ad hoc projects actioned as required. People Development utilise and develop the skills of two direct reports (Management Accountants Assistant) to provide support in delivering key financial outputs and providing support and challenge to other business functions. Knowledge & Experience; Ideally CIMA Qualified Preparation of weekly & monthly financial management information. Financial forecasting, including budget, current period and full year updates. Food Manufacturing Operations finance, including product costing and variance analysis. Strong people interaction. Excellent and adaptable communicator able to interact at shop floor level through to Board level communications. Clear team player, willing and able to work collaboratively as part of site and finance teams High level of personal and professional integrity, a challenging but supportive nature Attention to detail and excellent numerical and verbal skills enabling clear analysis and communication of information.
