Job Title : Primary Teaching Assistant Location : Wakefield, WF4 Salary : 85-95 per day Key Responsibilities : Classroom Support : Assist the teacher in managing classroom activities, preparing materials, and maintaining a conducive learning environment. Individualized Assistance : Provide one-on-one or small group support to students needing extra help with learning activities or development. Behavior Management : Help monitor and manage student behavior, ensuring classroom rules are upheld and supporting positive behavior reinforcement. Learning Activities : Facilitate educational activities under the teacher’s guidance, such as reading, writing, or craft projects. Student Welfare : Assist with students' personal needs, including social, emotional, and physical care. Administrative Tasks : Help with tasks like grading, organizing resources, or preparing bulletin boards. Supervision : Monitor students during lunch, recess, or field trips, ensuring safety and promoting inclusion. Skills and Qualifications : Enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their development. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Patience, empathy, and adaptability. Relevant certifications (e.g., teaching assistant qualifications, safeguarding training) are preferred but not always required.
