About the Role
Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a dynamic and rapidly growing manufacturing company based in Wakefield to find a detail-oriented Procurement Optimization Specialist.
This is an exciting opportunity for a meticulous individual with strong analytical skills to join their team and play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of inventory and related data.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and maintain optimal levels of inventory to meet production and customer demands.
* Conduct regular stock assessments, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective measures.
* Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
* Establish and maintain a comprehensive database for all inventory-related information.
* Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entry, including product codes, descriptions, and quantities.
* Implement and enforce data quality control measures to prevent errors.
* Generate regular reports on inventory levels, consumption, and trends.
* Analyse data to identify areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and enhanced efficiency in inventory management.
* Provide insights and recommendations to management based on data analysis.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and logistics, to optimise inventory processes.
* Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their inventory needs and challenges.
* Utilise and optimise the use of inventory management software and other relevant tools.
Requirements
* A meticulous individual with a strong analytical mindset and ability to collaborate across departments to streamline processes.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (look-ups, pivot tables, large data volumes).
* Proven experience in inventory management and data control within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
* Familiarity with inventory management software and ERP systems.
Salary Range: £35,000 - £40,000 (experience dependant)
