Brief Description
As a Senior Electrification and Plant Engineer, you will lead the team in inspecting, maintaining, and delivering a programme of projects. Your responsibilities will include managing the development and implementation of electrical power and fixed plant engineering asset management plans for the assets in your area.
This role can be based from Peterborough, Doncaster or York.
Role and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
1. Lead the development of area specific plans, including all maintenance, renewal and investment activity and lead the development and management of the associated prioritised investment work bank. Manage the inclusion of all investment items into appropriate programmes and track through to completion, including approval of programme changes. Determine and advise on the implications if work is not undertaken in the recommended time-frame.
2. Monitor area asset and maintenance management plans to confirm that they are appropriate to deliver required regulatory outputs and amend the plans as necessary to deliver compliant output targets. Agree maintenance activity volumes.
3. Work with members of the route asset management team to review renewal and enhancement proposals to optimise engineering activity across the route and resolve critical technical problems.
4. Manage the electrical power and fixed plant development of renewal and enhancement schemes to meet Network Rail's goals in accordance with company asset policies and standards from project inception to transfer to delivery.
5. Provide a single point of contact within the team for electrical power and fixed plant assets.
6. Identify and implement safety, asset performance, reliability, productivity, efficiency, people and passenger/stakeholder improvement initiatives.
7. Manage safety, assurance, compliance, performance and business processes.
8. Manage the non compliances for approval and make sure the appropriate action is taken where required.
9. Be accountable for the process of handover and accept back assets being renewed, installed or modified by projects.
10. Lead and direct the restoration to normal operation after completion of testing/investigation, equipment that has failed, been subject to an allegation or has been renewed as part of a maintenance delivered renewal programme.
11. Lead and direct the development of the annual maintenance, inspection and testing programmes and resource levels.
12. Manage and direct an agreed programme of safety tours, staff surveillance, work quality and asset condition checks.

Salary and benefits:
* Salary of £71,163 - £80,060 (Band 2.B) depending on skills, qualifications and experience
