This is an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Trainee to join the Technical Team. This role reports into the Technical Director. The purpose of the role is to provide assistance to the Engineering Team who co-ordinate design and maintain technical support to all regional departments and site based teams to enable the region to achieve its objectives and agreed goals. The role will include assisting the Engineering Team in preparation of the following: Assistance in the preparation of Land Appraisal Viabilities Working closely with the Architectural Team in order to satisfactory resolve engineering issues as part of planning applications Interact closely with design and planning team to deliver planning consents Building Regulation/CML issues Assisting in the production of all engineering drawings for start on site including infrastructure, foundations and any remediation proposals Utility designs Helping to produce designs in agreed timescales to ensure regional targets are achieved. Help provide Engineering support and technical guidance for regional site and office based operations. Help to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and Statutory Authorities. Maintain documentation for the standard product portfolio. Preparation and co-ordination of Legal Conveyance Plans. What we need from you? Must have A-C grades in Mathematics, English and Science. Must undertake continuous professional development. Attend Day Release College/University in order to obtain a Construction related HNC or Degree Ability to visualise a problem and look to solve it. Good communication skills. Ability to work in a team and as an individual. Ability to work under pressure and deliver to agreed timescales. Uses Own initiative. Computer literate with a good knowledge of Excel and Word. Knowledge of AutoCAD would be ideal. Ideally undertaking/has undertaken a Construction Related Course such as Construction and the Built Environment’ or ‘Civil Engineering’ and have a keen interest in engineering design.
