Are you passionate about developing the future workforce in Adult Health & Social Care? We are looking for an experienced Trainer/Assessor to deliver high-quality training and assessment for learners undertaking Adult Health & Social Care Diplomas at Levels 3 and 5.
Role Overview of the Adult Health and Social Care Trainer/Assessor:
As a Trainer/Assessor, you will support learners through their Diploma qualifications, ensuring they develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required for their roles. This will involve workplace observations, portfolio building, and competency-based assessments.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Deliver structured training, coaching, and assessment for learners completing Level 3 and Level 5 Adult Health & Social Care Diplomas.
2. Conduct regular workplace observations to assess competency in real-life care settings.
3. Guide learners through their Diploma portfolio, ensuring evidence meets awarding body standards.
4. Provide constructive feedback and support to help learners successfully complete their assessments.
5. Support learners in demonstrating leadership and management skills, particularly at Level 5.
6. Deliver knowledge-based workshops (where required) to support learners in key areas of the Diploma.
7. Embed Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours (KSBs) in line with qualification requirements.
8. Work closely with employers to ensure training aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
9. Ensure all assessments and learner progress tracking are completed in line with awarding body and compliance requirements.
10. Stay up to date with sector regulations, care standards, and best practices to ensure high-quality delivery.
What We're Looking For:
1. A recognised Assessor qualification (e.g., TAQA, A1, D32/33) - essential
2. A Teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET) - desirable
3. Vocational experience in an Adult Health & Social Care setting, ideally with Team Leader/Management experience
4. Level 3 Adult Health & Social Care qualification (Level 5 preferred)
5. Experience in teaching and assessing Adult Health & Social Care Diplomas (ideally at Level 5)
6. Own transport & flexibility to travel within a 2-hour radius
