An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to lead an innovative team of Clinical Nurse Specialists and support staff as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the care of patients with liver disease, acute, chronic and end stage (with some services Dorset wide), as well as a nurse led service supporting individuals accessing care at UHD who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.

Base Location: Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospital

This post offers the opportunity to deliver operational management to a multi-disciplinary team, service development, and clinical leadership whilst maintaining a clinical role.
You would be responsible for supporting the activity which includes
The post holder will:
• Primarily be based at Bournemouth and Poole Hospitals,
• Be the operational line manager for members of the team including Specialist Nursess and Support Staff.
• Drive service improvement, innovation and staff skill and knowledge acquisition for the benefit of patients within the pathway.
• Seek opportunities to continuously develop the service to always ensure the delivery of patient-centred care.

It is planned that DAIRS will continue to have services on both the Bournemouth and Poole sites. The activity will change in line with the planned move of inpatient beds to the Bournemouth site in 2025.
There is a planned move for this service anticipated during 2025 when thisrole and base of work will relocate toBournemouth site. Upon relocation of the role/service, excess mileage allowance / reimbursement will not apply, and any travel between the postholder’s home and work base will be classified as a commute. Any other changes unrelated to this, will be handled in line with Trust/National terms and conditions.
