About The Role
We're on the lookout for an Accountant to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a hybrid role based in our Sutton office.
As an accountant, you will be doing a range of accounting tasks, reporting, and analytical duties to support the ongoing operations of the company.
This role reports directly to the Finance Manager.
What you'll be doing:
* Support the invoicing and self-billing processes for the Technical Design division.
* Ensure all monies from customers are collected in a timely manner and any issues preventing payment are resolved.
* Post journals to support accurate and timely submission of the month-end close.
* Provide answers to questions from suppliers, customers, and employees regarding invoices.
* Raise Purchase Orders in the Oracle System.
* Support the onboarding process by working with internal and external stakeholders.
* Reconcile Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) to Finance System.
* Any other task deemed reasonable by the Finance Director or Financial Controller.
What we need from you:
* Excellent numerical, communication, and organisational skills.
* Understanding of financial concepts.
* Role would suit an individual studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Organised and structured approach to work with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Confident dealing with suppliers and customers by telephone and email.
