Mechanical Engineer
Shift: 15:00 - 11:00 (Monday to Friday) with plenty of overtime opportunities (Saturday at half & Sunday at double time).
Salary: £37,000 to £39,500 per annum (Dependent on experience)

Primary Objective:
Ensure the highest level of efficiency and safety in plant and machinery operations.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Swiftly repair plant and machinery, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
2. Execute machine changes promptly and accurately.
3. Maintain detailed documentation as required by GMP, including machine logs and repair files.
4. Assist in preparing quotations by providing essential information and guidance.
5. Attend and contribute to daily scheduling meetings.
6. Support training initiatives and program development.
7. Implement and follow the Planned Preventative Maintenance System.
8. Maintain stock of authorized spares and advise on required spares.
Skills & Competencies:
1. Extensive engineering experience in a production environment.
2. Proven ability to deliver effective engineering solutions.
3. Proactive in identifying improvements for enhanced line efficiencies.
4. Competent PC skills.
5. Professional handling of all production engineering issues.
6. Strong attention to detail when finding engineering solutions.
7. Exceptional organizational skills for effective workload management.
8. Flexibility to support evolving business needs.
9. Initiative-driven for continuous improvements.
Relationships:
Directly report to the Engineering Manager. Work closely with Production, Customer Services, and Warehouse management. These relationships are critical to the success of our business.
