We support them in a dynamic environment which fosters excellence with state-of-the-art infrastructure, cutting-edge facilities, and a creative and curious culture.
About the role…
The Research Partnerships team develop relationships with current and prospective partners (collaborators, funders, research sector stakeholders such as UKRI/NGOs), to support institute-wide, strategic research initiatives and identify new opportunities for research funding.
The Senior Research Partnerships Manager role supports cross-Crick engagement and liaises with external current and prospective partners to develop relationships and manage activities that support the delivery of the Crick’s Discovery Without Boundaries strategy. * Develop and implement relationship building and influencing strategies to secure new research partnership opportunities.
* Manage a number of existing relationships with Crick partners, identifying further opportunities for growth and collaboration.
* Build strong relationships with Crick Group Leaders and Science Technology Platform (STP) leads to identify the Crick’s partnership needs and help support the acquisition of such partnerships.
* Maintain a strong awareness of the external research funding landscape both nationally and internationally.
About you…
You will bring…
* Significant experience of managing collaborative projects or partnerships, working with multiple stakeholders to deliver shared strategic value.
* Strong influencing, engagement and relationship building skills.
* Significant stakeholder management experience and proven credibility in liaising with senior external and internal stakeholders, acting as a senior advocate.
* Ability to develop and implement a strategic plan, taking it from the conceptual stage to operational effectiveness.
* Ability to keep up to date with funders’ strategy, regulations, policies and general good practice governing research funding.
* Previous experience working in a scientific/research environment, liaising and working effectively with a range of disciplines and levels of seniority, enabling empathy with the academic endeavour.
