Communications – Senior Associate
We are seeking an experienced and talented communications professional to join our marketing team. You will be responsible for developing and executing our external communications strategies, pitching stories to press and handling reactive queries, while also writing a wide array of content for our internal and external audiences.
Working closely with the communications lead, you will play an integral role in protecting and enhancing the reputation of the business, partnering with leaders from across the business and the broader firm.

What you’ll do
6. Develop and execute external communications strategies that drive business outcomes
7. Help promote our business to the rest of the firm in coordination with corporate communications and regional communicators
8. Manage communications/PR agency on campaign execution, and measurement
9. Protect and enhance the reputation of the firm – both externally and among employees
10. Handle media queries as part of a small but busy communications team
11. Develop and execute opportunities to tell our story in creative, inspiring ways that resonate with journalists
Key qualifications
12. 5+ years’ professional communications / PR experience – previous retail investment experience preferred
13. BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing or Journalism preferred
14. Strategic thinking, attention to detail and tactical execution skills
15. Strong writing ability; strong editing skills; web knowledge/digital savvy
16. Ability to effectively partner with direct management, team members and other stakeholders
17. Be used to working in an agile and digital-focused environment
18. Be an excellent multi-tasker with exceptional organisational abilities
19. Close attention to detail on events, written work and strategic advice
20. Commitment to maintaining the firm’s high standards related to risk, compliance and the Code of Conduct
21. Strong project manager and multi-tasker, comfortable in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
22. High level of independence, energy and integrity, demonstrates respect for a diversity of opinions and styles, and accepts accountability and responsibility
23. Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours depending on business needs
24. Must provide writing samples when applying to the position
Preferred Qualifications:
25. Solid understanding of the financial services industry
26. Experience working in the retail investment sector
27. Strong interest in external comms strategies, implementation, and execution
