Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of experienced and passionate support workers, to deliver 24hour assistance to the wonderful people that live at the service. 'The sky's the limit' - that's the motto of the team and the people we support at this dynamic and fun filled service The people we support like to be out in the community, having fun They enjoy many outdoor activities, including walking, visiting gardens, day trips to the seaside, and much more They also enjoy swimming and shopping too They need you to be able to use your own initiative, be creative and most importantly be fun Your specialist training will involve moving and handling, as some of the people we support mobilise using wheelchairs, and they also need support with personal care and medication. You will also have experience working with people supported who present behaviours that require intensive support planning and management to ensure their safety and quality of life at all times. In addition you will be comfortable using basic IT systems that are required within the role - training can be offered to support this area. You will also hold a professional qualification in Health and Social Care, i.e. Nurse, Social Worker, SVQ Level 3 plus supervisory units (Scotland) / Care Management Level 3 (England) or be prepared to undertake one with our support.
