About the Role
Job Title: Citywide Services Area Supervisor (cleaning & catering)
What hours will you be working?
You will be contracted 36 hours per week, these hours need to be flexible to meet the demands of the post, but it will mainly be Monday to Friday 8am and 6pm (occasionally early morning and evening work may be required).
Where will you work?
You will be based at our offices within Turnpike Depot, M50 1EP, however, you will be required to work at variable locations as required.
What will you do as an Area Supervisor?
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our team as Area Supervisor Cleaning & Catering. This is a varied and fast-paced role, where no two days are the same.
The role will primarily focus on providing efficient and effective service across the varied Citywide’s cleaning and catering contracts and developing your team. Therefore, we need someone who is a skilled communicator, and able to collaborate with staff, children, headteachers, business managers and building managers in a variety of ways.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have experience in the catering industry (school catering would be beneficial), experience in the cleaning industry, supervising staff, training individuals of varied levels of ability, excellent communication skills, good IT skills, be fair and objective, and have good knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation and Food Safety Legislation.
We are extremely interested in hearing from individuals with experience in the day-to-day management of contracts, with a proven history in managing efficient and effective services across contracts and supervising complex teams.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.37 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.50.
