As a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant ( SEN TA), you will play a key role in assisting students with their learning, providing tailored support, and fostering an inclusive atmosphere where every child can thrive. Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant: Support students with additional learning needs in both one-to-one and small group settings. Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons adapted to individual learning styles. Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Provide emotional and behavioural support to students when needed. Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and other support staff to implement personalised learning plans. Encourage independence and confidence in students. SEN TA Qualification: Experience working with children or young people, particularly in an educational setting as a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant, is desirable. CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare are preferred. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education or similar. Knowledge of various special needs such as Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties etc. A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to supporting students. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
