We are seeking a Health, Safety, & Environment Advisor to join British Airways on a permanent basis at Heathrow!!
About the role:
1. Analyses health, safety and environment data, ensuring safe and compliant practices and procedures are developed and implemented.
2. Performs investigations of health, safety and environmental related events and instigates preventative actions.
3. Carry out risk assessments and formulate safe systems of work within the engineering directorate.
4. Evaluates manufacturer and industry data to develop and implement regulatory and manufacturer requirements, recommendations and industry best practices through engagement with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
5. To develop and maintain effective working relationships with Engineering managers, colleagues, trade unions, Safety Representatives, BA occupational health services and other key stakeholders.
6. Reports, presents and communicates operational safety and environmental performance to senior stakeholders, suggesting appropriate actions to be taken.
7. Ensures high-quality communication takes place with all stakeholders, suppliers and customers in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
8. NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent level 3 qualification (Essential)
9. IEMA Foundation certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent level 3 qualification (Essential)
10. Hold or ability to hold an Airside pass and Airside driving licence (Essential)
11. Engineering based degree (desirable)
12. Experience in conducting health and safety audits

14. Excellent interpersonal skills, written oral and presentation skills
15. Proven leadership and communication skills at all levels within the business
