The Civil Engineer Opportunity
Due to growth, an exciting Civil Engineer role has arisen in Shrewsbury. The candidate should have a strong understanding of highways and drainage design solutions.
Seeking enthusiastic, ambitious individuals to work in a multi-disciplinary team, leading engineering inputs on infrastructure schemes, including site levels, highways, sewers, SuDS, and flood risk management, from feasibility to construction.
Candidates with at least 2 years of design experience and relevant Civil Engineering qualifications will be considered. The role offers comprehensive training and mentorship, with opportunities for professional development.
The ideal candidate will have client-focused communication skills, the ability to prioritize and manage workloads independently, and experience in leading tasks and designing schemes, with knowledge of industry standards. Contributions to business development are encouraged.
The position is office-based, requiring client relationship management, fee quoting, appointment setting, and deadline management. You will work within a team of engineers, surveyors, and be managed by the Head of Engineering, with opportunities to assist in marketing and winning work.
Qualifications include a minimum of HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering, with professional qualifications desirable. Candidates studying towards IEng or CEng are encouraged to apply. Experience or skills in:
* Feasibility reports
* Drainage design (SuDS and foul water)
* Drainage modeling (Flow, MicroDrainage)
* Road and junction design
* S38, S278 agreements, technical approvals
* Authority consultations
* Site assessments
* Geo-technical report interpretation
* AutoCAD, Civil3D, Causeway PDS
* CDM 2015 knowledge
