To be responsible for the provision of skilled Perioperative care as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
There will be a requirement to supervise, on a day to day basis qualified/newly qualified and students in achieving their objectives.
Main duties of the job
1. Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities.
2. Participate in review of own performance regularly and development of personal development plan at least every 12 months.
3. Take responsibility for own actions.
4. Recognise own personal strengths and weaknesses and identify appropriate strategies to enhance the strengths and overcome or minimise the weaknesses.
5. Apply personal effectiveness skills in terms of time management, prioritisation, resource management, self-motivation and team work.
6. Ensure revalidation is undertaken in a contemporaneous manner and within the identified timelines.

* Degree in Nursing or Operating Department Practice or equivalent.
* Registered with the NMC or HCPC.
Experience

* Completion of competency package for Orthopaedic Scrub.
Knowledge

* Good understanding of both theory and practice relating to Orthopaedic scrub.
