My client is a well-established Foodservice business who have a fantastic reputation for their top-quality products and level of service which they provide to a number of different sectors.
They are seeking a Trader to join their team. The successful Trader will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing a portfolio of products to meet the needs of customers while achieving sales targets and maintaining profit margins., whilst playing a pivotal role in driving sales, building relationships, and maximising profitability within their foodservice wholesale division.

Responsibilities include:
1. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the foodservice sector.
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and pricing agreements.
3. Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform product selection and pricing strategies.
4. Collaborate closely with internal teams including sales, marketing, and operations to ensure seamless execution of trading activities.
5. Monitor inventory levels and sales performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize stock levels and maximize profitability.
6. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and proactively seeking feedback to enhance the customer experience.
7. Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends to anticipate market shifts and capitalize on opportunities.
The Ideal Trader Candidate:
8. Ideally have 2 years’ experience working within Food or FMCG related sectors.
9. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
10. Excellent analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail and proficiency in data analysis tools.
11. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers and suppliers.
12. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
13. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
14. Knowledge of foodservice industry trends, regulations, and best practices is a plus.
