Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Head of Physics to join a successful and forward-thinking Science department at a reputable secondary school in Hyde. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for a current Physics teacher with leadership experience or an ambitious specialist ready to take the next step in their career.

Salary: Paid in line with your scale + TLR (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop the Physics curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and (if applicable) 5
* Support, mentor, and inspire members of the Physics teaching team
* Monitor and improve student progress and attainment in Physics
* Work collaboratively within the Science faculty to ensure consistency and innovation
* Plan and deliver outstanding lessons that engage and challenge all learners
* Promote a passion for Physics and contribute to extracurricular science opportunities
* Uphold and drive the school's values and expectations across the department
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Be a qualified teacher with QTS and a specialism in Physics
* Have experience teaching Physics across multiple key stages
* Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills
* Have a track record of raising student achievement
* Be committed to continuous professional development
* Be passionate about Physics and science education
