Teaching Assistant
Location: Chepstow

Pay: From £77.40 per day
Hours: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school in Chepstow.
The primary responsibility of this role is to work 1:1 with a student with challenging behaviour. The pupil’s range in age from 11 to 16. This role involves building close relationships with pupils to help them thrive academically and socially.
As a Teaching Assistant, incorporating sports into daily activities will be a key component of the role. Activities may include football, tennis, rugby, gym work, and basketball, among others.

Responsibilities
* Provide support, guidance, and advice to groups of children with challenging behaviours.
* Develop and implement behaviour management strategies aligned with school policies.
* Monitor and record students' progress, sharing regular feedback with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
* Attend meetings with parents, teachers, and professionals to discuss student progress.
Requirements
* Enhanced DBS clearance, registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
* EWC registration (or willingness to apply).
* Ability to provide two recent references.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Safeguarding Level 2 (provided free of charge by Teaching Personnel).
