About you
As a Financial Modelling Analyst, you will play a critical role in analysing and modelling financial data, interpreting trends, and providing insights to support key business decisions and actionable solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to understand business processes, assess needs, and drive improvements through data-driven recommendations to optimise our company’s strategies and competitiveness.
What will I spend my day on at Noriker?
* Fully understanding the UK Power Market
* Gathering, analysing, and interpreting power market data, business development concepts and strategies to identify new opportunities
* Gather and document business requirements, conduct feasibility studies, create process flows/diagrams, and develop business cases to support decision making.
* Build and optimise complex business models to support capital project decisions, accurately detailing the business case while considering the state of the energy market
* Develop a strong understanding of the UK power services sector, specifically technology options, and commercial and regulatory drivers
* Perform competitor analysis and develop our understanding of financial and business risk
* Contribute to the development process of asset projects, providing creative solutions to deliver cost, efficiency, and low carbon solutions to energy consumers and infrastructure projects.
What skills will I need to succeed in the role?
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
* Great experience with advanced Excel use
* Experience building and maintaining complex financial models
* Some experience in and exposure to the engineering sector
* Ability to complete market research and present proposals considering the structuring of company capital and regulatory requirements
* Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Eligible to work in the UK permanently

* The next stage is an in-person interview with a team leader and senior management, we may ask you to prepare something for this one too
