Job summary
St Michaels Clinic is a private clinic specialising in the diagnosis, treatment and care of a wide variety of skin conditions. Our services range from initial consultation with highly experienced Doctors/ Consultants through to minor surgical operations (under local anaesthetic), Phototherapy, Laser treatments, Injectables, Education clinics and much more.
With increasing demand for availability, treatments and support in providing these services we are now needing to expand our nursing team and that is where we hope you come in. We are seeking applications from individuals passionate about providing a high standard of care, willing to take the time necessary to provide that care and open to receiving / undertaking training required to meet our service needs.
Experience in the world of dermatology is desirable but not essential - with a robust induction and probation period there is opportunity to learn the core skills necessary to support in service provision and plenty of opportunity to develop these skills further!
Main duties of the job
Our nursing team is required to be quite flexible in regards to the duties undertaken due to the nature of an out-patient clinic environment. A working day could involve supporting a Consultant with his list of Consultations then attending to post surgery wound care. Alternatively it may involve working in our ops/theatre room and assisting with minor ops surgery or supporting with the re-stocking of clinical items/ undertaking required audits. Or even sometimes helping out on reception meeting and greeting patients.
Most important for us is that our nursing team has the capacity to provide and support the clinic and in being part of that team is willing to assist colleagues in different roles, will help ensure the environment for our patients is to a high standard and is enabled to escalate anything that affects these things.
Working pattern is across 5-6 days of the week, hours ranging from 8am - 6pm, but no nights or Sunday working
