Electrical Engineering Manager

Our client requires an Electrical Engineering Manager or Electrical Safety Manager to perform a compliance and safety role, reporting to the SHEQ Director.
You will oversee the safety of our operatives and ensure the business is compliant with policies and procedures.
You will:
1. Ensure all staff are determined as operationally competent for their assigned duties in writing.
2. Maintain and develop all electrical external accreditations.
3. Maintain written policies and procedures.
4. Manage the team to provide a service across all electrical work streams to ensure a consistent approach to competency.
5. Represent us at forums including:
1. Energy Network Association (ENA)
2. Lloyds Register - NERS Forum & NERSAP
3. Skills Academy for Power (NSAP)
4. Association of Meter Operators (AMO)
5. Meter Operators Code of Practice Agreement (MOCOPA)
You will have:
1. Educated to HNC or equivalent, Incorporated or Chartered Engineer.
2. Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET).
3. NICEIC - Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting.
4. Hold a Safety Qualification such as NEBOSH.
5. Have a strong operational background preferably in association with DNOs or similar organisations.
6. Knowledge of Smart Metering and BS7671.
7. Have a clear focus on operational safety.
8. Full UK Driving License.
There is a requirement to travel throughout the UK and spend some nights away from home.
This is a hybrid role, with 2 days per week required in the office.
