Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Fastener Toolmaker to join our high paced volume manufacturing facility. This role is based in the United Kingdom, on site at our Redditch Plant. No hybrid working for this role will be considered. Essential Functions: Manufacture and assembly of complete Fastener tooling kits in support of our aerospace fastener manufacturing facility. Modify and repair Fastener tooling within the facility to production specifications. Competent at reading technical drawings and specifications. Specific Responsibilities Include: Setting and operating of all Toolroom manufacturing equipment, as follows: Spark eroders. Lathes Surface grinders Honing machines Lapping Milling Universal grinders Setting and operating of all Toolroom measuring equipment. Tool development, to support current and future production requirements. Working With Heading machine Setter Operators Other Duties, Responsibilities and key Requirements: To source and obtain parts and materials as required following the procedures of the procurement system To maintain the relevant stock levels of spares and consumables. To ensure the correct tools and equipment are available to carry out the tasks and repairs To ensure all work is carried out to relevant regulations and health and safety standards Ensure housekeeping is maintained to the highest standard and that all relevant company EHS requirements are fully adhered to. Be a proactive and flexible team member, training in other disciplines where required. Qualifications Essential Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar toolroom environment, including Fastener tooling manufacture and assembly. Must have at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven interpersonal and leadership abilities to proactively work with and professional people and to interact effectively with individuals and groups both internal and external to the company and at all organizational levels. Essential Skills Demonstratable troubleshooting skills. Proven ability to work to tight, Aerospace tolerances typically 0.0004” Must be able to read technical drawings and specifications, with attention to detail.
