Due to continued growth and an ambitious R&D programme, we are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design Engineer to join our high-performing team. Role Purpose: As a Design Engineer at REP-TEC, you will be integral in designing, developing, and delivering innovative, high-quality machinery that sets industry benchmarks. Working closely with cross-departmental teams, your role will involve delivering robust engineering solutions that enhance performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop high-quality recycling balers from concept through to completion. Ensure projects meet specifications, timelines, and exceed quality expectations. Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Service teams to ensure solutions meet customer requirements. Prepare detailed 3D and 2D manufacturing drawings adhering to industry best practices. Create comprehensive documentation and technical instructions supporting manufacturing, installation, and servicing. Liaise with suppliers, specifically in hydraulic and electrical systems, to integrate latest technologies. Proactively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the design and manufacturing process. What You'll Need to Succeed: Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment, ideally involving hydraulic and electrical systems. Software Skills: Proficient in SolidWorks (3D CAD), with skills in AutoCAD (2D) desirable. Experience with MRP systems advantageous. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
