Job Description:
Director - Transport Planning
RPS is looking for a Transport Planning Director to join the UK Transport Planning Team. The key driver in this role is to identify new opportunities to build on our client base and directly contribute to RPS’ growth and success. We bring our transport planning expertise to all forms of property and infrastructure development, covering energy generation, residential, commercial, sporting, leisure, health, and educational land uses.
We need people who share our passion for solving the problems that matter. Our flat structure creates greater collaboration and speed of communication, and working with some of the brightest minds in the industry, we’ll need your input.
What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for generating new business from your client base, recruiting and developing your new team, and providing clients with expert transport planning advice to secure the success of their land use development projects.
You'll have autonomy with full support from the wider Transport Team to build the business, which supports developers, housebuilders, and infrastructure providers.
Who we’re looking for
With experience within this sector, you’ll already be familiar with what we’re looking for. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced transport planner, with excellent client contacts, first-class communication, leadership and management skills, and the financial acumen to ensure that the P&L targets are met.
What’s in it for you?
We understand the need to work flexibly, with agile offices and hybrid working offered as standard. We encourage and value different ideas, perspectives, and styles of thinking. We respect one another and recognize the potential and contribution of everyone. You’ll be joining a diverse community and a company that puts its people first and prioritizes their wellbeing.
What happens next?
The Talent Acquisition Team will be in touch to let you know the outcome of your application. If your application is progressed, you’ll talk to Lindsay Dirago, the Talent Acquisition Lead for the Planning Division, leading to an interview with the Operational Director of the UK Transport Planning Team.
Representing an exciting new chapter in our business, on 24 January 2023 RPS became a Tetra Tech company, a leading, global provider of consulting and engineering services.
We’re proud to be a Disability Confident Employer and work in partnership with Inclusive Employers. Please let us know if you require any adjustments during the interview process, we can then make reasonable changes to support you in performing to the best of your ability.
