Role: Fire Alarm Engineer\nLocation: Birmingham\nSalary:£30,000-£40,000 (DOE)\n\nWe are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer with sound knowledge and experience in servicing, repairing, and installing fire alarm equipment, including emergency lighting.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nInstall fire alarm systems in industrial and commercial premises to BAFE standards.\nPerform small and large installations independently or as part of a team.\nService and maintain systems in line with British Standards.\nDeliver exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction.\nComplete accurate documentation, including timesheets, work reports, and service reports.\nConduct reactive and preventative maintenance on fire security systems.\nDemonstrate systems to customers, explaining causes and consequences of false alarms.\nMaintain good relations with clients and colleagues.\nParticipate in the on-call system.\nRequirements\n\nProven knowledge and FIA-certified competencies (or equivalent training).\nReliable, conscientious, organized, and confident in your work.\nAbility to deliver neat, high-standard work with a positive "can-do" attitude.\nStrong fault-finding and technical skills in Fire Alarms, PAVA, Emergency Lighting, Nurse Call, and Disabled Refuge Systems.\nCSCS card, Full UK Driver's License, and the right to work in the UK.\nEnhanced DBS and security checks required.\n18th Edition desirable (17th Edition essential).\nWhat We Offer\n\nWork van, uniform, mobile phone, and tablet.\n23 days holiday plus bank holidays.\nPension scheme.\nPermanent, full-time role in a supportive and professional environment.\nIf you are a dedicated professional with a passion for safety and high standards, we want to hear from you.
