Based in Exeter and mid Devon Permanent or flexible supply work available QTS is essential Salary dependant on experience and qualifications Long-Term Teachers are working with a variety of SEN schools, both primary and secondary based around Exete r and the mid Devon area, who are looking for flexible supply teachers. You will be working with young people with additional needs which may include autism, ADHD, SEMH difficulties. You will be working in inclusive environments that are adapted to suit the needs of their students. As SEN schools like to ensure consistency and continuity for their students, we have plenty of long-term positions available as well as permanent. However, we also offer supply based work if you are looking for flexibility. This role is suitable for a qualified teacher that has experience in teaching young people the UK national curriculum at any level. Cover work will always be set by the classroom teacher so you need to be confident in adapting to various subjects. You will also be supported by teaching assistants within the classroom. Key responsibilities: Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher Manage behaviour effectively in line with the schools policies Support students with SEN, adapting materials and approaches to meet the needs of the individuals Liaise with relevant staff members (such as support staff) Provide feedback for the class teacher About you: Experience working with children in an educational setting Must have excellent behaviour management and feel confident in running the classroom Strong communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility and adaptability to work across a variety of different subjects and with a variety of students A commitment to inclusive education and supporting students with SEN Working with Long-term Teachers: We are an independent agency working with Nurseries, Primary, Secondary and Special Schools.
