Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
* Our team is different in lots of ways (that’s what makes them / us so interesting) our team supports Adults aged 18 years and above.
* We have different levels of capacity due to mental health.
* At present we cater for tenants who have various conditions/requirements: We provide and assist with preparation of a wide range of food and drink to accommodate the individuals' dietary requirements. Our team supports individuals with various mental health conditions such as: Depression, Anxiety, and Schizophrenia. Additional medical requirements can be discussed with the management team on assessment. All our staff team are trained and familiar with supporting someone with all the above needs.
* Our team is trained to administer medication if required.
* Our team supports us with our personal finances, banking, shopping, and auditing.
What is important to us?
* We enjoy our outdoor activities such as shopping, dining out, and attending disco. However, sometimes we do activities alone. When attending appointments we have the choice of being accompanied by staff.
* Other interests we have are listening to music, watching movies, and cooking/baking.
* We are fun loving, kind, caring, considerate, respectful of other people’s personal space and belongings.
* We provide a happy and safe environment in our home and we always respect each other’s privacy, dignity, and space.
Other important information:
* There is always at least 2 colleagues on shift during the day and 1 colleague on a sleep-in night.
* This is a fixed term contract for maternity cover until 23rd December 2025.
* We like our staff to work Long Days Sleep 09.00 a.m. through to 09.00 a.m. the following day (this of course includes the sleep-in from 23.00 till 07.00 a.m., other shifts are Long Day 08.00 a.m. till 20.00 p.m.).
* The main objective is that we have a clean, friendly, and safe home ensuring that each of our individuals' preferences and choices are met.
