Job Overview: Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Health & Safety Coordinator to join their successful team.
Remit:
1. The role of Health & Safety Coordinator is a key position within the production team, supporting the QA & H&S Manager. You will be responsible for writing and reviewing risk assessments, undertaking internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO9001 & ISO45001 standards, along with providing Health & Safety training and inductions to new employees.
Role:
1. Carry out Site Inspections & Integrated Process Audits (Quality and Health & Safety).
2. Undertake internal audits to ensure compliance with relevant legislations and ISO standards or audits on processes and procedures to ensure the relevance and compliance of company documents.
3. Complete Reach, RoHS, Conflict Minerals etc. compliance requests for customers.
4. Help to generate general and specific Risk Assessments (FMEA, COSHH, DSEAR, Manual Handling, PUWER etc.).
5. Review open actions on Q-Pulse and send out reminders.
6. Provide training and guidance to personnel, particularly H&S Inductions for new employees.
7. Assist in investigating internal complaints, customer non-conformities & accidents.
8. Review existing safe systems of work and risk assessments.
9. Support the creation of Standardized / Safe Operating Procedures / PSS etc.
10. Adhere to all ISO 9001, environmental and health and safety policies and procedures.
Experience Requirements:
1. HND/HNC or degree qualification would be desirable.
2. NEBOSH Certification or other accredited qualification.
3. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a related field.
4. Experience in working in a Manufacturing / Engineering environment.
5. Internal auditor experience - ISO9001 & ISO45001.
6. Working knowledge of computer hardware/software applications including word processing and Excel.
7. Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to working.
