This is an exciting time within Worcestershire CAMHS. An opportunity has arisen to recruit Senior Mental Health practitioners into the Tier 3 Core CAMHS service to work across a selection of locations in Worcestershire. The service is undergoing significant development with the addition of new pathways such as Non Violent Resistance (NVR), complementing the already established CBT and DBT pathways, Specialist Family therapy offer, Psychotherapy pathway, and under 5s services. You will work closely with other CAMHS specialist teams such as the Children's eating disorder team, Anchor, Mental Health Support teams in schools, and the Crisis and Home treatment team. There are significant opportunities for training and development, with new staff working through an induction and training plan within the first 12 months, supported by robust supervision.
The service is working towards becoming a neurodivergent affirming service, and the Trust is a Trauma Informed organisation.
This post has been deemed by the Trust as eligible for relocation expenses, which will be applicable for suitable successful candidate(s). Please see the attached policy for more information.
Main duties of the job
You will work clinically within the Worcestershire Core CAMHS service. Responsibilities include assessing young people referred to the service, completing therapeutic (partnership) work with a designated caseload, attending MDT meetings and team meetings, providing consultation and advice to other professionals, and attending statutory & mandatory training. You will also work alongside wider CAMHS services where required, participate in service developments, and provide supervision and shadowing opportunities to new or newly qualified staff.
You will be based at one of the following sites: Aconbury (Worcester hospital site), Kidderminster Health Centre, or Redditch Town Hall. We endeavor to assign you to a base that best suits your personal circumstances; however, travel to other bases may be required, which will be paid as part of the Trust claiming expenses policy.
The Trust offers flexible working opportunities with this post, considering applicants interested in working between 22 and 37.5 hours a week.
