Regional Planner - Civil Engineering
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Benefits
Are you an experienced Planner ready to take on a regional role with significant impact? This is your chance to join a dynamic company, providing planning expertise across a portfolio of civil engineering projects. Based in Chesterfield, you'll play a vital role in driving project success and supporting strategic development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed monthly reviews of project programmes, ensuring changes are documented and recorded accurately.
2. Utilise planning software such as Microsoft Project or ASTA and mentor team members to enhance their skills.
3. Ensure regular programme updates meet contractual requirements, As Built Records, and progress benchmarks, including two-week lookahead programmes.
4. Review site records, contractual notices, and communications related to programme matters to ensure compliance.
5. Maintain and analyse the Project Change Register to align works delivered with contractual obligations.
6. Collaborate with the site team on the Project Risk and Opportunities Register, capturing entitlements not yet documented.
7. Support the pre-contract tender team by developing methods of construction, programming, and bid-winning strategies.
8. Provide assistance with EOT claims, programme entitlement, and contractual compliance.
9. Advise on planning, construction methods, and engineering solutions across multiple projects.
10. Support the Regional Manager/Director with the strategic development of planning processes and systems.
What You'll Need:
1. Proven experience in a planning role within civil engineering.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Project or ASTA (training available if required).
3. Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
4. Strong knowledge of planning principles and contractual requirements.
5. Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
